Shining Light Academy is a ministry of Shining Light Baptist Church; however, our appeal goes beyond our home church to reach a broad spectrum of families who share common beliefs and values. Our purpose is to provide a traditional Christian education based on the truths of God's Word. We seek to aid you in carrying out the Christian education command found in Scripture (Deut. 6:7; Prov. 22:6; II Tim. 3:15-17).

Shining Light Academy formally opened its doors in the fall of 1997. We are a non-profit Christian school and offer pre-school classes for ages three and four, kindergarten for age five, and grades one through twelve. SLA is a member of the North Carolina Christian School Association and the American Association of Christian Schools.
